fourteenmedia.id — During the premiere of “WWE Raw” on Netflix this past Monday, John Cena made a major announcement, revealing that he will be part of the 2025 Royal Rumble.

In his promo, Cena also made a striking remark about his recent struggles, noting that he hasn’t secured a victory on television in almost seven years.

However, wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer, writing for the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, pointed out a key detail that Cena may have overlooked in his statement.

Meltzer clarified that while Cena has indeed faced a long drought in singles victories on TV, he is not entirely without wins in the past seven years. Cena’s most recent victory, as Meltzer explains, came on April 8, 2024, in a trios match on WWE Raw.

Additionally, Cena secured a win in a tag match at the October 7, 2023, Fastlane pay-per-view. Meltzer also pointed out that aside from losses to top stars like Austin Theory, Solo Sikoa, and Roman Reigns, as well as a four-way defeat on Raw in 2019, Cena has actually emerged victorious in every match since late 2018.

Meltzer further revealed that Cena also won two singles matches during dark segments at WWE SmackDown tapings in 2023, defeating Dominik Mysterio and Montez Ford.

Cena’s last televised singles victory, however, occurred in 2018, as his TV appearances have mostly been in multi-man matches rather than one-on-one contests.
